After all, my male brain is unlikely to be able to discern what's actually going on in any female mind, let alone understand it. Much better sometimes if everything turns out to be a surprise. Some are nice surprises and the others... well, at least if it's a surprise the period of dread is reduced.

Not sure it's disapproving as such Hank, Tom. To me the lovely lady looks as if she has something in mind, something she's looking forward to. The same look she might give towards an unopened box of chocolates, say. All those different flavours, just waiting to be explored.
