Speaking with authority

Once when I was in hospital I tried out the 'just a little prick with a needle' joke* on one of the nurses. But she just looked confused and said "But I'm the one with the needle." I did feel a fool.

BDSM's odd like that. Subs are actually much more interested in exactly how the implement feels than the dommes.  My SO seems to grab any old thing at random sometimes when she wants to hit me - I actually feel that shows a lack of respect, which is lovely, obviously.

Starting with this.

Makes it all worthwhile.

It's rather an exciting art form, not least because it needs weekly refreshing.

* "I know you are, but what are you going to do with it?".

  1. It can only be a matter of time before this exciting new art form is displayed in the Turbine Hall at Tait Modern. Or possibly at the Venice Biennale : that way you get to combine this with some splendid masks for the participants.

    1. Actually, not so new, but then nothing in the art world truly is, is it?

I understand that recent scholarship into Minoan civilisation suggests that the very first use of Linear A script was in the form of whip-marks across the backs of male slaves. There are references in the records of the Palace of Knossos to slaves with particularly wide, white and unmarked backs commanding a premium price, for instance.

This might help clear up the long-running academic dispute as to whether the celebrations of Minoan monarchs' birthdays are properly called 'Name Days' or 'Pain Days', since a complicated name - such as that of Queen Pasiphae, written with eight vertical and four horizontal strokes - would obviously be both.

  2. The comments from yourself are often worth the price of admission. Wonderful stuff about the very real and very true Matriarchy of the Minoans. And to weave into it the linear A is sublime. Femsup

    1. Not really, Femsup. You need to get yourself over to Freddie's place to read about the Minoans. I'm just ripping off, erm, I mean riffing on his idea, here.

    2. Ripping? Riffing? A someone who copies and comments other folk's images, you won't hear me complaining! :-)

    3. Ignore the minoan minnies, you mean, then?

      (sorry)

  3. I saw the re emergence of the stamps and love how it makes normal what should have continued from Minoan times till now but has been crudely interrupted by the patriarchy. Femsup

    1. For those that might want to find my thoughts on the Minoans, my site's not back to its usual convenient form yet... https://freddiestales19.wordpress.com/2019/07/02/abby-the-student/,. I feel a deeper vein of inspiration arriving from this direction maybe.....
